Algebraic Topology 1
Plan of the course:
1. fundamental group and induced homomorphism;
2. fundamental group of the circle;
3. applications: Fundamental Theorem of Algebra, Brouwer Fixed Point Theorem for the 2-disk;
4. van Kampen theorem; fundamental groups of cell complexes;
5. theory of covering spaces;
6. singular and cellular homology.
Plan of the course approximately coincides with the scope of Chapters 1.1-1.3 and 2.1-2.3
in Allen Hatcher's book "Algebraic Topology", which is officially available in the net:
